Electrical Engineering is one of the basic branch focuses on generation, transmission of electric power, power utility, measurements, Controls, signal processing. This Department was established undergraduate course in the year 2009 with an intake of 60 students and postgraduate course in the year 2014 with the intake of 24 students. The Department with qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty sufficiently caters to its requisite teaching and research requirements. Its curriculum covers all areas of Electrical Engineering in the streams such as Electrical Machines, Application of Different Switch Gears and Protections, Power System Analysis, Signals and Systems. The faculty are encouraged to update their knowledge by regularly attending workshops, seminars etc. The department has well equipped laboratories to fulfill the needs of the syllabi.
All the students of this department became member of IETE Student forum which is related to IETE professional society of India. Under this forum, for every year, activities like guest lectures, workshops, quiz competitions, industrial visits has been continuously conducting for up gradation of their knowledge. The students of our Department are actively participating in the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and bagged many prizes. The Department has separate computer lab with internet facility. The students of this Department have consistently performed well in the University Examinations.
