The Mechanical Engineering department was started in 2009. Presently department has an intake of 30 at UG level and 06 at PG level students. The department has facilitate the well-equipped experimental laboratories having major equipments like Lathe Machines, Shaper Machine, Slotting Machine, Milling Machine, Refrigeration Test Rig, Pelton Turbine, Centrifugal Pump Test Rig, Reciprocating Pump Test Rig, Single Cylinder Diesel Engine, Solar Water Heating System Test Rig.
Department also facilitate students with boys and girls common rooms, The infrastructure of the Department includes class rooms equipped with smart boards, modern audio video aids, tutorial rooms, well equipped laboratories, departmental library & seminar room and faculty offices. In laboratories, students experiment with the latest technologies which help them in kindling their hidden skills. Internet connectivity for the benefit of the students.
The Department has laboratories namely Fluid Power Laboratory, Refrigeration & Air conditioning Laboratory, Internal Combustion Engine Laboratory, CAD/CAM Laboratory, Heat Transfer Laboratory, Manufacturing Process Laboratory, Machine Design & Drawing Laboratory, Energy Conversion Laboratory, Non-Conventional Energy systems Laboratory, Engineering Metallurgy Laboratory and Theory of Machine Laboratory.
